Personalised support at home
Discover how Jo's Inclusive Early Years and Primary Teaching provides bespoke, in-home support for your child's unique developmental journey. I create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Home-based support
At Jo's Inclusive Early Years and Primary Teaching, I bring expert, child-centred support directly to your home. My sessions are designed to foster play, learning, and development in a familiar and comfortable environment, tailored to your child’s individual needs.
Gentle introduction
I begin by gently joining in with your child's current interests, allowing them to adapt to my presence at their own pace.
Parent Partnership
I work alongside parents as equal partners, sharing what I notice in each session. I agree on small next steps together so nothing ever feels done “to” you or your child. You stay fully in the loop and confident about what we’re working on and why.
The 7 areas of learning
I plan around the seven areas of learning from the EYFS, so your child’s sessions cover the full picture of their development, not just “academics.” I build communication, physical skills, personal and social confidence, and also early literacy, maths, understanding the world and expressive arts through play. I weave these areas together in a way that feels natural and fun, so children are learning without it feeling like school.
Who benefits most from my services?
I support is designed for families seeking calm, consistent, and play-based help in their own home. I'm here for children who need extra understanding and tailored approaches to thrive.
Tailored for unique needs
Families often seek my help when their child, though bright, faces challenges like overwhelming busy settings, late talking, big feelings, or a suspected/diagnosed SEND. We also support children who have had a tricky start, such as those with medical needs or trauma. My support is especially valuable for parents who desire a non-judgemental partner in their child's development, offering gentle communication and early learning in the comfort of home.
Why choose home-based teaching?
My home-based approach is ideal when nurseries or typical classes feel overwhelming for your child, especially with additional needs, a possible SEND diagnosis, or life disruptions like health issues or trauma. I provide calm, consistent, play-based support in your own space, adapting to sensory and emotional differences, and partnering with you without judgement. This unique setting fosters confidence and steady progress where your child feels most secure.
Expected outcomes for your child
After sessions with Jo, parents frequently observe positive shifts in their child’s confidence, communication, and emotional regulation. My goal is to make home feel less like a battleground and more like a nurturing space for growth.
Increased confidence
Children often become more confident in play and interaction, showing greater interest in engaging with others and their environment.
Enhanced communication
You may observe small but meaningful changes like more eye contact, shared attention, or increased attempts to communicate through sounds, gestures, or words.
Improved emotional regulation
Parents often notice their child finds it easier to manage big feelings and transitions, leading to calmer responses to routines that were once stressful.
